The Rundown

  • Inquire with your due date + session type!

Are you looking for pictures of just your babe? - Regular Newborn Session OR Pictures of the whole fam? - Newborn/ Family Lifestyle Session

  • I contact you via email to discuss.

We find exactly what you're looking for - you choose your package.

  • I send over the $50 non-refundable retainer invoice + contract of intent digitally.

Both can be paid and signed electronically.

  • Retainer paid + Contract signed.

Once retainer + contract of intent is taken care of - we're good to go!

  • You've had your sweet babe + now it's time to set a session date!

You contact me 2 - 5 days after you have delivered + we set that date!

I send over wraps + outfits I can provide, as well as session contract. We settle on a color scheme, details, etc.

  • Today's the day! Session day!

The remaining balance is due this morning. House is decluttered + an open spot by a low window is ready for me!

  • Our session has concluded, now what?

Within 1 - 2 weeks, you will receive a proofing gallery in your email. In there you will favorite the set amount of photos you'd wish to receive, based on your chosen package.

  • You've chosen your images and sent your favorites list back to me.

Within 2 -3 weeks, you will receive the final gallery with all of the images you had chosen, fully retouched.

What to Wear

  • It is best to stick with neutrals! Beige, cream, gray, tan, etc.

The lighter you dress, the dreamier your photos will be!

Most homes are in the scheme of grays + tans - so it's best to dress with what compliments your home.

  • Stay away from bright neon colors, reds + dark colors - such as black

I will always recommend the family dressed in neutral colors so that the new addition stands out!

  • Stay away from crazy patterns, logos, etc - the simpler the better!

  • Remember that these photos are in your home, so dress comfortably.

The more laid back the better. Dad in a solid polo or nice tee, Mom in a sweater or blouse, kiddos in a nice shirt and jeans! The simpler the better - trust me!

  • Shoes are a no-go!

Don't worry about finding those perfect kicks for the kiddos. I recommend barefoot or socks.

The baby will be wrapped in a swaddle for the family portion of the session - keep that in mind when choosing a swaddle color. Pick something that stands out (if you took the tip of dressing the family in neutral), but a color that complements what you're wearing and compliments the color scheme of your home.

I am always an email away for styling help!

Tips + Tricks

  • I need a small space in a room, preferably by a window. The lower the window the better, so usually that would be the front living room. If you’re unsure, I can help when I get there.
  • Prior to me getting there, bath time is also a great option. It makes them sleepy!
  • It’s best if the baby is sleepy and fed. When I arrive I usually will have you feed the baby as I am setting up, to make them full and sleepy
  • I usually start sessions with the outfits first, so even if you just wanted to have the babe wrapped up in a swaddle. That would work!

It makes transitions a lot easier if they’re not fully clothed when I’m putting on the first outfit.

  • By the end of the feeding, I’m about done setting up. The baby will hopefully be sleepy!

That’s where the great tip of just having the baby swaddled comes into play. So that I don’t have to fully undress the baby to get the first outfit on!

  • It’s best if the places we will be shooting are decluttered such as the nursery, living room, master, etc.

Bedside tables, coffee tables, changing tables, etc.
