Maternity Session Guide

The Rundown

• Inquire with the month(s) you're looking to schedule + the package you're interested in!

I recommend scheduling your session when you are between 6 to 7 months.

• I contact you via email to discuss + find exactly what you're looking for-

you choose your package, date + location.

• I send over the $50 non-refundable retainer invoice + contract over digitally

- both can be paid and signed electronically.

• Retainer Paid + Contract Signed

Once retainer + contract are taken care of - we're good to go!

• I reach out about a week before your scheduled session date to confirm details.

• Today's the day! Session day!

The remaining balance is due the morning of your session.

• Our session has concluded, now what?

Within 1 - 2 weeks, you will receive a proofing gallery in your email. In there you will favorite the set amount of photos you'd wish to receive, based on your chosen package.

• You've chosen your images and sent your favorites list back to me.

Within 2 -3 weeks, you will receive the final gallery with all of the images you had chosen, fully retouched.

What to Wear

• It is best to stick with neutrals + earthly tones! Beige, cream, gray, tan, green, etc.

The lighter you dress, the dreamier your photos will be!

• Stay away from bright neon colors, buffalo plaid, matching plaids + red!

I will always recommend you dress in neutral/earthy colors with layering, accessories + texture.

• Stay away from crazy patterns, logos, etc - the simpler the better!

Are you going for the more laid-back look or the more put-together, dressier look? Make sure that you keep in mind your location and what style best suits that scenery. The simpler the better - trust me!

• Multiple patterns are a no-go! Mom in a floral dress while others in solid colors is an idea!

Tips + Tricks

• It is best to arrive at your session earlier rather than later.

Give yourself some extra time for those crazy kiddos, traffic, traveling through parks, etc.

• Give your kiddos something to look forwards to - bribery I know!

Piece of candy after the session, a trip to the park, extra screen time in the evening, etc. Children love something to look forward to.

• Bring some snacks!

If you have a little one that likes a fruit snack here and there - bring some snacks for a rest/ snack break!

• Empty out your pockets!

Cell phones, wallets - we don't need them. Once we've found each other at the location, communication will be smooth sailing from there!
